SpireHouse was founded to build a home for amazing science fiction and fantasy, and then share it with the world. The objective of our publishing model is to make our books available to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
SpireHouse publishes short stories, novellas, and novel length e-books, and we make them easy to download, and easy to enjoy. We also give our writers a generous royalty, because a.) they deserve it, and b.) we want to (who wouldn't, seriously?).
All of our books can be read on any device which supports MOBI (AZW), PDF, and EPUB file formats (which is just about every device out there). You can also find our books on Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, iBooks, Google Books, and Kobo Books.
When you purchase e-books directly from our website, however, you will receive an e-mail with the books you've just ordered in three file formats: MOBI, PDF, and EPUB. You will also be taken to a screen which will allow you to download the books right away. From here, the books are yours. Feel free to read them on any electronic device you own. All of our books are DRM free.
We highly recommend our customers download the free library managment software calibre, especially for serious e-reading enthusiasts who plan on reading or sharing books across multiple devices. It’s a great tool for managing an e-library that also lets users convert books to any e-reading file format. You can easily click and drag your books from calibre to any of your devices after a quick file conversion.
(Fun fact: All of our e-books are created by our team of Adobe Creative Suite wizards, and include a cover and active table of contents.)
The beauty of e-reading is that it is infinitely more fluid, accesible, and sustainable than reading from a printed book (although no one can deny the glorious pleasure of analog reading).

MOBI - MOBIs are the native file for the Amazon Kindle. If you read the majority of your e-books on a Kindle device, we recommend you download our books as MOBIs. However, you can read MOBIs on your computer monitor, and there are many smartphones whcih support them as well.
PDF - PDFs are the open standard for document exchange between computers. SpireHouse offers many of its books as PDFs because we want to be as accommodating to our customers as possible. Don't want to read our books on a screen? Print it, son!
EPUB - EPUB is an open-standard file format compatible with a number of devices including, but not limited to: iPad, Bookeen Cybook Opus, Sony Readers, Bookworm Online ePub e-book reader, iPhone, iPod Touch, Adobe Digital Editions, Kobo, NOOK, Elonex, iRiver, BeBook One. Download our books as EPUBs if you own one of the above devices.
